The first time I performed stand up comedy was at an NA convention in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. I was clean for about 17 days or so. They were supposed to have a pool party but it was rained out. So I told some dude with a badge that I was a stand up comic and would do a free show for everyone. He believed me! We all went into a room and I just started screaming about how bad the heroin was in florida and how the crack dealers rode bicycles. They loved me! Not long after that I got the nerve to go to comedy clubs and perform. It's been amazingly fun and fullfilling. NA got me off drugs and on the stage. Go to my audio/video page and watch my clips.
